In order to become part of the "package" of reforms presented to the House for adoption on March 12, proposals had to get a super-majority of votes on the commission. This prompted DR to caution citizens with this reality check.

As the commission began its work, Co-Chair David Steil asked DR Co-Founders Kathleen Daugherty and Tim Potts to submit written comments about how the commission should approach its work. Here they are.

On March 12, DR joined with other groups promoting greater integrity to hold a "Moment of Truth" news conference. Rep. David Steil, Rep. Greg Vitali (D-Delaware) and Rep. Curt Schroder (R-Chester) joined the group to advocate for the best possible package of reforms. DR presented this statement at the news conference.
